Types of UNICS DIPLOMAT CARDS
UNICS Diplomat card is a hybrid prepaid card in convention with United Bank for Africa (UBA) and VISA Corporation. These cards can be used for ATM transactions, POS transactions and online payment from any part of the Globe. UNICS DIPLOMAT card could be linked to a UNICS bank account to function like a ‘Debit card’.
There are 3 types of UNICS DIPLOMAT CARD. The main differences in the various types are in their various capacities:

UNICS DIPLOMAT Card is accepted on all VISA enabled ATM in Cameroon and abroad.
As seen on the costing table below, maximum amount per ATM transaction in Cameroon is FCFA 250,000 (Two hundred and fifty thousand francs) with a maximum total amount of FCFA 750,000 within 24 hours.
Same limits apply for International transactions except for the fact that the amount per transaction should include a charge of 2% on the amount.
UNICS DIPLOMAT Card is accepted at all VISA enabled POS both in Cameroon and abroad. These POS are usually located at Shopping Mall, Gas stations, Hotels, Banks and other commercial Centers. Same withdraw limits as on ATM transactions applies to POS transactions.
With UNICS DIPLOMAT Cards, It is possible to effect online payments for goods and services. For any DIPLOMAT card to be accepted for any online payment, The card Holder must have activated VERIFIED BY VISA (VBV) which is an additional security measure.
With the help of a POS, a Customer’s card account could be debited and the Customer is served in cash by the Teller upon a service fee as seen on the costing table
It is possible to transfer cash at zero charge from one DIPLOMAT card to another (Possible for all cards under the UBA platform). This is done online through www.myubaafricard.com only after effective registration into the online platform.
